As both the first female faculty member in the Rutgers School of Engineering and the first female professor in her department, Dr. Lisa C. Klein has encouraged women for more than 30 years to choose engineering as a discipline and a career. Her research focus is finding and improving materials for energy storage, energy conversion, and alternative energy devices.
