Dr. Jennifer Foster is an Assistant Teaching Professor and Director of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Programs in the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University. Prior to joining GSAPP, she spent the last 20 years dedicating her services to working in New Jersey public schools. In her most recent position as District School Psychologist, she dedicated her time to coordinating a wide range of mental health programs that focused on improving mental wellness for students in preschool through high school. Through her specialization in large-scale program planning, she has extensive experience implementing district-wide Multi-Tiered Systems of Support to improve student social-emotional learning as well as developing comprehensive school-based mental health services. Dr. Foster is also an expert in crisis management. She has experience in creating system-wide crisis prevention and response procedures, crisis training programs, data collection systems, and ongoing professional development in crisis management and threat assessment. Dr. Foster is a proponent of the use of a clinical supervision model for staff who provide direct service to students. In this capacity, she is skilled in creating systems of supervision, consultation, and professional development for school-based mental health professionals. Dr. Foster supports equity, diversity, and inclusion through her advocacy for student rights and creating inclusive schools.

Stipend: Within New Jersey $500; out-of-state rates to be negotiated

Travel: Will travel within and outside of New Jersey. Preference is for travel is Monday-Fridays.
