Ben. Sifuentes-Jauregui, Ph.D., teaches a variety of undergraduate courses on Latin American and U.S. Latino/a literature, film, performance theory, and cultural practices.
He is the author of Transvestism, Masculinity, and Latin American Literature and has also published articles on sexuality, queer identities in Latino/a America, and melodrama. Presently, he is working on two book projects: one on the relation of melodrama and masochism in a series of Latin American novels, films, and essays; the other on Latino identity and trauma theory.
