
Maurice J. Elias, Ph.D., is president of the International Society for Community Research and Action and Division of Community Psychology of the American Psychological Association. He is also a Leadership Team founding member for the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning, and past Vice President for Programs of the Association for Children of New Jersey. His popular books include Emotionally Intelligent Parenting (2000) and Raising Emotionally Intelligent Teenagers (2002). He participates in the Network for Research in Jewish Education, is Associate Editor of the Journal of Jewish Education, and published The Educator's Guide to Emotional Intelligence and Academic Achievement (2006).
