Serena Connolly, Ph.D. (Yale), is a historian of ancient Rome with research and teaching expertise in the history of women, enslaved individuals, and non-elites, as well as the political history of Rome under the emperors. She has also published on ancient Greece and Rome as themes in the art of Jean-Michel Basquiat. Her current interests are in ancient Mediterranean science and technology and the history of food. Stipend of $500, plus travel expenses.
